Free-to-caller numbers starting with 1800.
1800 numbers are Australia's toll-free service numbers: the caller pays nothing and the receiving business pays the entire call cost. They're standard for government hotlines, large-company customer-service lines and consumer-protection helplines. Real toll-free numbers virtually never make outbound calls. If a 1800 number is calling you, it's almost certainly a spoofed CLI from a scam operation. Hang up, look up the 1800 number, and call back through the company's official website if you need to follow up.
